Just a few more hours until we get into session 3 of our code club. Last week, everyone got into developing characters using paper, modelling clay, and Scratch. Imaginations were swimming with mermaids, monkeys, and monsters which were eventually made digital. This week, all of these characters are going to be used to tell a story. All of our participants are going to storyboard their ideas and animate them with code. It should be a pretty fun couple of hours!
As a side note, we are getting ready for next term during which our participants will be learning to create basic web sites. To do this, we are going to utilize some curriculum from Code Club Australia. Should be a lot of fun, so
Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a STEAM and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
