Week 2 Code Cub was very exciting for participants as they had their first look at Python coding. The lesson began with a discussion about python coding and how it differs from block coding and what it can be used for. The next part of the lesson involved coding a Rock, paper and scissor game. The participants enjoyed coding their own game and found python coding to be a bit challenging, but they look forward to doing some more in the future.
Robotics week two was all about learning how to code the robot to move in a straight line. The participants started with exploring the Lego Mindstorm coding icons and learning what each block does. After their exploring what everything does, it was time to code the robot to move from one line marked on the ground to another and reverse back the way the robot came. Everyone did this with ease! Well done participants, one week closer to the sumobot challenge.
