It is hard to believe that this term's code club is already approaching week 4! We have had a great time setting up the course and seeing the students learn all of the basic skills that it takes to create a website. Everyone is already chomping at the bit to make their own site (look out for this starting week 7).
Week 3 saw the students learning to make a site for an imaginary lost cat named Felix, and they did it all from scratch, from the opening <!DOCTYPE> declaration to the closing </html> tag. And for all of their hard work, all of the participants received a level one web development badge. Good job class!
Next week, we will finish up a few bits and bobs for these sites and actually get them uploaded to the web for the whole world to see. Also, we will be embarking on a mission to add a little style to our websites using some

Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a coding and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
