This week’s lesson was all about getting the participant’s robots ready to detect obstacles and how they do that is by adding an Ultrasonic to their robot. An ultrasonic allows a robot to react to the world around them by sensing obstacles around them and reacting to those obstacles. How a robot reacts to an obstacle varies by what code has been written. The lesson started off with learning all about the ultrasonic and then putting it into practice. At the end of the lesson, all participants had their Ultrasonic tested and working and they are very excited for the next few weeks…
Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a STEAM and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
