Click here The Redland Libraries STEAM and Robotics clubs have come to an end for the year and we want to thank all of our participants that have attended throughout the year.
Term 4 was a big term for both STEAM Club and Robotics at Capalaba Library. STEAM Club consisted of MBot Madness which involved participants working through the basic coding assignments on an Mbot and completing a maze in the last weeks of STEAM Club with all that coding knowledge learnt throughout the term.
While in our Robotics club, participants learnt the basics of Lego Mindstorm EV3 coding to prepare themselves for the final weeks of rescuing a precious item from a fire (totally pretend fire, no robots were harmed this term). They learnt how to move forwards and backwards, how to use the colour and ultrasonic sensors, how to turn a corner and of course learning how to code their robot to use sounds and funny faces.
Everyone in both clubs were dedicated and ready to face each lesson and its challenges head on. Well done participants!
Bookings are now open for Term 1 2020. Please visit here for robotics or here for STEAM Club bookings.
Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a STEAM and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
