It was a great term at Cleveland, with the kids working through 7 weeks on our farming challenge. Farming is a huge growth area in robotics due to its high labour intensity and repetitive nature. Robotics areas include drones for crop checking, planting, seeding and weeding machines and even livestock tracking. Participants were tasked with having their robot: plow a field, herd some livestock to a designated paddock and collect and feed some ducks. Working in teams we learnt a lot about cumulative error, problem solving and engineering strange new robotics attachments. Well done to everyone it was a lot of fun.
