Unfortunately Moving Metal has finished for the term, but we couldn't be happier with the outcome. All of the students who participated in the program and stuck with us until the end created a working robot that followed light. We had quite a few robot crashes. Some of the more sinister coders created robots that ran away from the light, while the students who went above and beyond added flashing lights and buzzing sounds that gave their robots a bit of flare. The sinister students who added flare are being questioned by ASIS (j/k). Thanks to all who participated! Parents who would like to leave us some feedback can do so by filling out a form on our Contact Us page. All of your suggestions or comments help us to better our offerings in the future.
We are not going to be running code club next term for Cleveland State School as we would like to go over what we have learned with interested adults, especially those who are interested in potentially running their own code club. Sessions for adults will be held on May 6, 13, 20 & 27 from 6:00PM - 7:00PM. If you would like to book in, call (07) 3829 8865.
We will continue to update this website with new information. If you would like to keep informed, please click here to get email updates.
Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a coding and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
