A huge term this term with a mixed class of beginners and our usual intermediate group. Our basics class began with our standard 6 hour basics course and then developed their own sumobots to battle for supremacy. Our intermediate class began “Mission Impossible” , a problem that focussed more on reliability of programming. Using line following and colour recognition, our teams had to bypass a sentry, unlock a digital door and identify the VIT( Very Important Thing). By using PID (proportional, integral, derivative)line following, we were able to more effectively follow our lines and create a more reliable robot and introduce our participants to a more competition level task.
