A huge term this term with a mixed class of beginners and our usual intermediate group.
Our basics class began with our standard 6 hour basics course and then developed their own sumobots to battle for supremacy.
Our intermediate class began “Mission Impossible” , a problem that focussed more on reliability of programming.
Using line following and colour recognition, our teams had to bypass a sentry, unlock a digital door and identify the VIT( Very Important Thing).
By using PID (proportional, integral, derivative)line following, we were able to more effectively follow our lines and create a more reliable robot and introduce our participants to a more competition level task.
It was a great term 3 here at Cleveland, using Minecraft as a focus. We had fun with a variety of activities from coding with minecraft hour of code, bluebots), networking and gaming and stop motion using the minecraft stop motion app.
We even brought our own popcorn for the stop motion premier on the last day! Click here to see the stop motion videos.
Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a STEAM and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
