It has been a little while since our last post, but boy have we been busy. In addition to our regularly scheduled Code Club at the Cleveland Library, we are also rolling out a Code Club at the Victoria Point Library and a Robotics Club at the Cleveland Library. We are starting the second week of next term and going for 8 weeks. Enrolment is open to everyone. We just ask that you bring a laptop if you have one, as the number of laptops that we have are limited. We also ask that parents stay for the session if the student is 12 or under. Give us a call at 07 3884 4010 for more info.
If you aren't into committing to a whole term, we have some pretty cool school holiday activities coming up as well. Make Magnet Mazes will get participants to make a maze out of play dough that they can test out against everyone else. Since we are using play dough, which is conductive, we are going to be hooking them up to some lights and a MaKey MaKey so we can have obstacles, check points and time trials. We are also going to be making some pop-up cards that have a light-up LED. Finally, we are having some robot boot camps. Spend a couple of hours with us and we will make a robot that can move around and avoid obstacles.

Welcome to Code Redlands
Code Redlands is a coding and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
Redland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
