Hello all, and welcome to our club! Today is our first workshop and we here at the library are all filled with anticipation. We have 15 students joining us, so welcome to all of you.
We have a section for all of you students and parents who are interested in setting up a blog about what you are doing. Just click on "Students" to the left of this page and enter the password. The information to edit your page will be given to you today. Have fun with it! It is not homework, it is just for you to explore and share with your family and friends what you are doing in the club. A sample page has been set up if you are not sure what to do. If you have any questions, just send us an email using "Contact Us" to the left.

Only a couple of weeks until we embark on our journey of creating a coding club at the Cleveland Library! We are very excited about the prospect of all the kids making some really cool animations, stories and games using the open source Scratch software. I got a chance to give it a go over at the State Library the other day at an all day session that they were hosting and I had a blast! All of the participants had such great stories and rich imagination. I can't wait to see what the students at Cleveland State School come up with. Check out my terrible attempt at humour in the Scratch video I created below: |
Welcome to Code RedlandsCode Redlands is a STEAM and robotics program dedicated to creating a an environment where we can explore, learn and create. With Digital Literacy a new focus for the future, we want to augment digital literacy skills by offering space, technology, and facilitators. We hope to equip the next generations of Queenslanders with STEAM (Science Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics) skills to find their own place in an increasingly digital world.
School Holiday ActivitiesRedland Libraries offer School Holiday Activities throughout the year for children aged 8 and above.
